Torkild, always drawn to water, spent his childhood kayaking, surfing, and immersing himself in an old ship construction book received as a birthday gift. His creativity, passion for new technology, and boundary-pushing personality extend from his personal life to his professional endeavors.
As the CEO of Giske Vannsportsenter and an avid windsurfer, Torkild also serves as a principal naval architect, consistently challenging Vard's limits with innovative designs that often materialize while others find a place in the "next time" drawer. Torkild's resilience shines through as he refuses to give up; for him, a "no" is merely a delayed "yes."
